A new state-of-the-art facility in the Midwest state will be fully operational by 2024.

The new 700,000-square-foot facility in Rushville will house manufacturing and distribution centers supporting its regional client base. It is expected to create 170 jobs.

“We are excited to choose Rushville for its proximity to suppliers as well as the community’s skilled workforce,” said Diamond Pet Food President Mike Kampeter.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) provided up to $1.5 million in incentive-based tax credits and up to $300,000 from the Industrial Development Grant Fund to help support the facility’s construction.

The company initially announced its plan to build the facility in December 2021, with an initial investment of $200 million.

The facility is the first one of the manufacturer in Indiana, that already has production plants in homeland Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, South Carolina and California.
