Dubai pet food brand Cosmopet targets Jordan in latest regional expansion
The company has launched in Amman and plans further expansion across the Gulf later this year. GlobalPETS has the details.
Dubai-based premium pet food brand Cosmopet is expanding its regional presence by entering Jordan, following its expansion into Kuwait in December 2025.
The move was formalized through a distribution partnership with Jordanian import and distribution company Optima. Under the agreement, Optima will handle in-market distribution and retail placement of Cosmopet’s dog and cat treats, helping the brand reach pet shops and other pet-focused outlets.
According to Cosmopet, Jordan serves as a natural bridge for further expansion across the region. “The country has a growing base of pet owners seeking premium, quality-driven nutrition options, and we see a strong opportunity to introduce a super-premium pet nutrition category that remains relatively underserved locally,” the company tells GlobalPETS.
The brand is now available at several pet retailers in the capital, Amman, including Pet Lodge, VIP Shop, Pet Mart, Best Buddies, Pet&GO Shop and Luxury Pet Shop, as well as online through Safe Care.
Omnichannel expansion
Cosmopet has established a presence across more than 200 pet-focused venues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including over 100 veterinary clinics. The company is now expanding its reach through the q-commerce platform Careem Quick, adding on-demand delivery in Dubai to its regional retail network.
The move aims to provide pet owners with the speed and convenience commonly associated with purchasing everyday essentials.
“The Careem Quick partnership extends Cosmopet’s reach across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, delivering in as little as 15 minutes, giving pet parents on-demand access to our products, anytime, anywhere, beyond the limits of traditional retail hours and locations,” Cosmopet says.
In addition, the brand is strengthening its omnichannel presence by expanding on-demand and e-commerce delivery with InstaShop and Amazon in the UAE.
Following its entry into Jordan, Cosmopet plans to expand its footprint in Bahrain and Qatar in September 2026. In the fourth quarter of 2026, it also plans to expand into other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
