Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo strengthens its urban strategy

The pet retailer has just introduced a new city store format in Paris and Copenhagen as part of its growing omnichannel strategy.

European pet retailer Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo unveiled 2 new urban stores in France and Denmark.

With one in Voltaire in Paris and the other in Amagerbrogade in Copenhagen, the stores have retail spaces of approximately 100 to 200 square meters, specifically designed for city life, the company says. Each store offers snacks, grab-and-go items and everyday essentials for cats and dogs.

The new urban store format, which is modular and more compact than its traditional retail stores, was designed by the Fressnapf Store Design Team and was first piloted in Copenhagen last year.

Additionally, both stores are complemented by full digital integration, including Click & Collect service, delivery via the quick delivery platform Wolt and digital shelf extensions, according to the retailer.

Customer proximity at the core

“Urban pet owners want fast and easy access to everything their pets need – without long detours,” says Rabea Kämper, Head of Store Formats and Experience at Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo

“That’s exactly where our Urban Store format comes in: proximity, service and inspiration right in the heart of the city.”

Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo has a retail footprint in 10 European countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Switzerland.
