Gloria Pets recognized among 500 Spanish SMEs leading business growth
The Spanish pet product distributor operates in more than 30 countries and is looking to expand its footprint in the near future.
Navarre-based Gloria Pets has received recognition from Cepyme, the national organization of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Spain, as one of the 500 companies leading business growth.
This is the first time the pet firm has made it into the CEPYME500, an independent list featuring leading companies based on their capacity to generate added value, employment, innovation, and international projection.
The official recognition not only acknowledges the company but also helps project the companies listed on a national and international level. In total, 3 Spanish pet businesses made it onto the list: Amiguitos Pets & Life, Golden Pet Food and Gosbi Pet Food.
Over €10 million turnover
Companies featured in the CEPYME500 list must have an annual turnover that exceeds €10 million ($10.8M) and have grown more than 15% across 3 consecutive years.
Gloria Pets hit a turnover of €14 million ($15M) in 2022 and forecasts €16 million ($17.2M) for this financial year.
“The secret is that we are working hard to improve each year, and our value is not what we do today—the big value of our company is what we are going to do in the future,” Managing Partner Daniel Lizarraga Rivas tells GlobalPETS.
The pet product distributor was founded 42 years ago by the Lizarraga brothers and has its own accessories brand for dogs and cats called Gloria.
Gloria Pets exports to 31 countries and wants to expand its footprint into more. The company has secured its first distributor in Saudi Arabia and has recently built connections in Morocco and Chile.
