Indian dog food producer to expand its range in hotels

Harley’s Corner has partnered with a hospitality firm to offer its products across 24 hotels in the country.

Indian premium wet pet food brand Harley’s Corner has partnered with SeleQtions Hotels, a city and leisure hotel chain from hospitality firm The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).

Pet parents can now order the brand’s food for their furry friends through the hotel’s in-room dining service.

Ishmeet Singh Chandiok, Founder of Harley’s Corner, tells GlobalPETS that they want to ensure that pet parents “can explore new places without compromising on the nutritional needs of their beloved pets.”

“This trend of traveling with pets (and mainly dogs) is an increasing one, and while it has been growing steadily across the world, India is seeing a sudden spurt in this trend,” Chandiok admits.

Vacation packages for pets

The IHCL group offers vacation packages for pets, has pet minders on staff, and caters to pet parents with pet-care products and services, healthy nibbles and veterinarian services while extending exclusive pet toiletries and designated pet-friendly zones for a luxury experience.

Commenting on the strategic partnership, Taljinder Singh, Senior Vice President and Brand Custodian at IHCL, says, “At SeleQtions, we strive to make [the] travel experience with pets convenient and enjoyable with thoughtful in-room amenities and outdoor facilities.”

Further expansion

The Bangalore-based pet food producer expects to roll out the service to the Vivanta group of luxury properties soon, also managed by IHCL, as well as co-working spaces, managed homestays, serviced apartments, dog boarding facilities and other hotel chains.

Harley’s Corner is targeting revenues of ₹4.5 Crore ($542K/€503K) in 2024.

Strategic plans for domestic expansion include driving sales via their website, striking partnerships with online marketplaces and veterinarians and expanding shelf retail to tier 1 and tier 2 cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi.

The company also aims to export its products to Europe, East Africa and East Asia soon and debut in the US through Amazon Global.
