Interzoo postponed
In view of the current situation pertaining to the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Germany and in Europe the Interzoo trade fair organizer WZF (Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbbetriebe GmbH) in close coordination with NürnbergMesse GmbH as assigned partner for the organization of the event is left with no choice but to postpone Interzoo from May 2020 to a later date still to be determined. We are hard at work and aim to advise you of a new date Interzoo as soon as possible.
In the course of the past weeks WZF, in collaboration with other experts on the matter, conducted regular risk assessments on the basis of the “General Principles of Risk Assessment and Recommended Procedures for Major Events” as applied by the German Robert Koch Institute (RKI). We also conferred with NürnbergMesse, our advisory committee of Interzoo and other exhibiting companies regarding the issue. The decision to postpone Interzoo was not an easy one for us to take. However, given the current situation it is impossible for us to hold Interzoo 2020 as scheduled in May this year.
