Investors inject $1.2 million in “disruptive” pet health company

New-York based Dog is Human started its operations just 2 months ago but claims to be a pioneer in human-grade pet products.
Lead investor Ben Weiss said he believed the company is a “disruptive idea, founded by a pair of entrepreneurs that might just have enough audacity to execute against it and create the next iconic brand in the pet industry.”
The New York-based company expects to see continued exponential growth through its “direct-to-community” marketing channel and will further accelerate its positive momentum by scaling R&D and its team.
The brand’s first product is a human-grade multivitamin soft chew for dogs, which includes 12 vital nutrients to provide “foundational health support beyond the diet.”
Originally known as an online dog community, Dog is Human launched in April 2022 as the “world’s first human-grade pet health company.” The brand makes pet health products by combining human-grade ingredients with veterinary research, its first product being a human-grade multivitamin soft chew for dogs.
