Latest pet food distribution partnerships

These 8 pet brands are pushing their product portfolio through new partnerships.

Lord Jameson, a US premium dog treat manufacturer, has partnered with Southeast Pet, a pet food and supplies distributor, to expand the brand’s markets in the Southeast, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The brand is expected to push its premium organic dog treats portfolio through Southeast Pet’s “exceptional sales and management team.” 

Natural bone broth, stew and treat manufacturer Caru Pet Food has partnered with Vermont Pet Food & Supply to expand in the Northeast region of the US. Established in 1989, the distributor prioritizes premium brands so pets can live happy lives.

“We are thrilled to partner with Vermont Pet Food & Supply to better serve our customers in the New Hampshire, Northern New York and Vermont communities,” says Adrian Pettyan, Caru’s Co-Founder and CEO.

In June, Wild Earth announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Pennsylvania-based Zeigler’s Distributor, Inc. to push its plant-based dog food and treats across the mid-Atlantic market to independent and specialty retailers. This includes Wild Earth’s entire product line of 11 SKUs.

As a wholesale pet food and supplies distributor, Ziegler’s currently services Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and New York. 

Owner of Zeigler’s Distributor Brian Ziegler points out that plant-based pet food is trending. “Carrying Wild Earth helps us meet the growing need for retailers and consumers looking for plant-based protein alternatives for food and treats,” he adds.

Montana Dog Food Co. also announced a similar agreement with Fauna Foods Corporation to push its pet nutrition portfolio, including raw pet food, treats and supplements, into Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. 

The brand previously partnered with two other distributors, including Rio Grande Service Center, to expand its presence in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming, and AFCO Distribution & Milling to extend its retail presence across the Pacific Northwest.

Seafood-based pet nutrition brand Simply Naked Pet Foods has also partnered with AFCO Distribution & Milling to expand across the Pacific Northwest region. Under this partnership, the brand’s full dog and cat food range will capitalize on the distributor’s network of 400+ pet food and supply retailers across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Alaska.

PetPlate, a human-grade dog food brand, partnered with Phillips Pet Food & Supplies to expand its national retail distribution strategy. The company will ship PetPlate’s products across the United States. PetPlate is also reportedly working with American Distribution and Manufacturing Corporation (ADMC) to enhance its network capabilities across the central part of the US.

Ukrainian pet nutrition brand Optimeal by Kormotech entered the US market in 2001 and recently partnered with Generation Pet, known for its dedication to the independent retail channel. Through this partnership, Generation Pet will distribute Optimeal’s premium dog and cat food products across the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. 

According to Optimeal and Kormotech, this partnership strengthens their commitment to supporting independent retailers and providing US pet parents with diverse, high-quality pet food options. 

Entering Asia

CULT Food Science signed an MOU for a distribution agreement with Polygen Asia Pte Ltd to push all products under its latest acquired brand, Noochies!

Their target market comprises more than 50 retailers in Singapore that will retail the company’s dog and cat ‘breakfast’ and ‘dinner’ foods, treats and pet supplements starting in Q3/Q4 2023.

“Singapore has always been a leader in advanced technologies and food production. Being able to provide Noochies! beyond the North American market is a wonderful milestone,” comments Lejjy Gafour, CEO of CULT Food Science.
