Mars Petcare announces its new Global People & Organization VP

The new hire brings extensive HR experience across various industries and will oversee people strategy as the company grows.
Mars has appointed Helio Fujita as its new Global People & Organization Vice President for its pet care business, effective July 2025.
With over 25 years of experience, he will lead the human resources (HR) strategy for Mars Petcare’s $30 billion (€26.4B) global business, helping shape its workforce and organizational development to support its pet health, veterinary services and nutrition portfolios.
Fujita will report directly to Loïc Moutault, President of Mars Petcare, and will be part of the Mars Petcare Leadership Team.
“Helio’s depth of experience in HR and organizational strategy, alongside his proven ability to drive transformation and growth, will be invaluable as we continue to grow Mars Petcare’s global presence,” says Moutault.
Professional experience
Most recently, Fujita served as Chief Human Resources Officer at the German-based healthcare company Fresenius Kabi. In addition, Fujita was the Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor for FAIR HR, a startup focused on AI-driven HR decisions.
His previous roles also include leadership positions at the Swiss multinational pharmaceutical corporation Novartis, where he worked for 9 years and acted as Senior Vice President of HR, where he managed global HR functions across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe.
“Mars has been a company I have always admired for its commitment to doing business the right way – and for being truly principle-based. And as a pet owner who has felt first-hand the positive impact pets can have, I am excited to bring my professional life and a personal passion together in this role,” notes Fujita.
