Pet companies rank among America’s fastest-growing private businesses

Pet companies across nutrition, health, insurance and services rank among the fastest-growing private businesses in the US, according to the 2026 Inc. 5000 ranking.

The annual list ranks private US firms based on percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. To qualify, businesses must have been founded and generating revenue by 31 March 2022, with at least $100,000 (€85,700) in revenue in 2022 and $2 million (€1.7M) in 2025.

Top-ranked pet companies

Colorado-based pet toy maker Woof Pet ranked 31st nationally after reporting 7,939% three-year growth.

Dutch Pet, a veterinary telehealth provider, landed at 120th, with revenue increasing 2,395%. The San Francisco-based business also placed 9th in the San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont metropolitan area, 16th in the Healthcare and Medical category and 22nd in California.

Veterinary care provider Petfolk secured the 160th spot, with revenue up 2,016%, while Phoenix-based pet wellness brand Bundle x Joy took 170th after a 2,300% increase.

Spot Pet Insurance ranked 445th nationally, with revenue growth of 787%. Natural dog chew maker Yak9 Chews followed at number 447, reporting 780% growth. The Austin-based company ranked 48th in the Consumer Products category, 23rd in the Austin–Round Rock–San Marcos metropolitan area and 60th in Texas.

Top five fastest-growing companies in the US across pet care

Suppliers, insurance and retailers 

Pet supplies retailer MICHU PET SUPPLIES came in at 551st, with revenue up 632%, while veterinary businesses Vet Hero and Vetmed Group took 583rd and 709th, respectively, with increases of 601% and 483%.

Ohio-based pet supplement brand Native Pet rounded out the top 10 pet industry entrants at 890th, after growing 391%. The brand has attributed its expansion to broader retail distribution, rising e-commerce demand and an increasing range of clean-label, veterinarian-formulated supplements.

Wagmo (pet wellness and insurance provider), PetScreening (veterinary practice management platform), Scenthound (dog grooming and daycare franchise), Bark Bistro (pet food company) and Central Bark (dog daycare and boarding franchise) were also featured on the list, ranking between 930th and 4,425th. 

These businesses recorded revenue growth ranging from 44% to 371% over the 3-year period.
