Pet entrepreneurs who made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list

The founders of brands Mammaly, NutriPaw, and Just Russel have been recognized for leading Europe’s retail and e-commerce industries. 

Business magazine Forbes recently published its annual list of Europe’s top 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs who’ve made a name for themselves in the region’s retail and e-commerce industries. 

In this 2023 edition, the creators of 3 natural pet treats and supplement companies have been included in the listing. 

Just Russel (Belgium)

Belgian animal lovers Louis Mortreu, Renaat Waeles, Cyriel Van Steen, and Victor Mortreu set up Just Russel in 2020 with a key objective: happy and healthy pets make life easier for owners. 

It manufactures natural treats, supplements, chews, toys, and customized dog and cat food and offers a subscription-based delivery service. 

According to the company, they achieved record-breaking growth in 2022 and launched their products in Germany.

NutriPaw (UK)

NutriPaw is a labor of love by Connor Westby and Adelina Cornelia Zotta and specializes in natural herbal supplements to help with stress, fear, itching, scratching, joint flexibility, strength, and aging in pets. Its products are also available on Amazon. 

According to Forbes, the UK-based duo made $6.7 million (€6.2M) in 2022 and had a customer base of more than 125,000 people.

Mammaly (Germany)

Berlin-based Alexander Thelen and Stanislav Nazarenus set up a functional snacks and products business in 2020 with the help of veterinarians. The brand uses natural ingredients to provide relief from a variety of problems for dogs. 

According to Forbes, the company has 50 employees and is backed by Five Seasons Ventures, a venture capital fund based in Paris. 

Mammaly was recently ranked 75th among the fastest-growing startups in 2022 out of more than 12,000 German companies.
