Pet food start-up raises $6.3 million in seed funding

Yummers will invest the capital injection in strengthening its omnichannel brand strategy, including a national partnership with Petco.

Based in Los Angeles, the company aims to scale its critical retail distribution and continue pushing “against the status quo” of its ambition to become a mainstay in the pet culture.

As a part of their funding, L Catterton and C&S Family Capital will be part of the Yummers Board, of which Rudisch and start-up studio Caravan are also part.

The Los Angeles-based company presents 18 styles of high-quality meal mix-ins for cats and dogs, adding taste and vitamins to the entire meal.

The products can be found on its e-commerce site and across the Petco network.
