Pet players receive new industry awards

Manufacturers and retailers have been recognized for their excellence, innovation, service and sustainability efforts.
Corbion, Fetch, Zooplus and Fressnapf are among the companies that have recently received industry awards. GlobalPETS has the details.
European Pet Sustainability Awards
The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) recognized 5 companies at the inaugural European Pet Sustainability Awards, held during Interzoo in Nuremberg, Germany. The awards recognizes PSC-accredited businesses that excel in packaging, ingredient innovation, climate action and industry collaboration.
Hemp Heros, a UK-Irish producer of cannabidiol (CBD) supplements for humans and pets, won the New Sustainable Product of the Year Award in the consumables category. Belgian manufacturer Moderna Products received the same recognition in the hard goods category.
The Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award went to Tyler Packaging, a supplier of flexible solutions for the pet industry, while the Industry Collaboration Award was given to Applaws, a premium pet food brand owned by UK-based MPM Products.
Corbion, a provider of sustainable ingredient solutions, received recognition for Climate Action Leadership and Sustainable Ingredient Innovation.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Ontario-based pet food company The Crump Group was honored as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2026, a business awards program sponsored by Deloitte Private and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).
Founded in 2006, the group produces all-natural, single-ingredient and limited-ingredient pet treats and food for pets across North America. Its portfolio includes Naturals®, Caledon Farms® and Dog Delights® pet food and treat brands.
The Canada’s Best Managed Companies program was launched in 1993. It is sponsored by leading Canadian firms from sectors such as professional services, financial, legal, media and capital markets.
WeMoney Pet Insurance Awards
Australian financial platform WeMoney named Knose Pet Insurance, a Sydney-based provider, as Pet Insurer of the Year, while Sydney-based company Fetch received the Digital Pet Insurer of the Year award. Buddy Pet Insurance was also named as Best New Pet Insurer.
According to WeMoney, these prizes are presented to brands achieving the highest weighted average scores across relevant criteria, including rates and fees, value and quality.
Additionally, category winners are recognized for outstanding, innovative and unique products for everyday Australians.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise
In the UK, Dog-G8, a manufacturer of dog safety gates, and Pet Remedy, a producer of pet calming and stress-relief products, received the King’s Awards for Enterprise in the Innovation category.
The ceremony also recognized household cleaning brand Cares Laboratory’s pet-focused hair-dissolving laundry range in the International Trade category.
Since its launch in 1966, the awards program has honored more than 8,000 UK businesses across categories including innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Germany’s Best (Online) Retailers
Several pet companies were recognized in ServiceValue’s Germany’s Best (Online) Retailers ranking across the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) shops and pet supplies categories.
In the BARF category, Graf Barf, Barfer’s Wellfood, Haustierkost.de and Futterfleisch24.de were all named Best Online Retailers.
In the pet supplies category, 18 companies received the distinction, including Bitiba, Zooplus, Josera, ZooRoyal, Premium Petshop, Fressnapf, and ChronoBalance.
The “Germany’s Best Retailers” study 2026 is based on nearly 365,000 customer reviews of 517 brick-and-mortar retailers from 40 sectors and 1,464 online retailers from 88 sectors.
Ladybird Excellence Award
Adam Baker, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of US pet product manufacturer SodaPup, received the Ladybird Excellence Award 2026 during the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida. This year’s theme was “When AI Makes Pets Priceless.”
The award honors innovative leadership in the pet industry and beyond. Baker was chosen for his deployment of artificial intelligence across product development, search strategy and broader business operations.
SodaPup offers food-based enrichment tools for dogs. It currently operates in 48 countries and launches more than 20 new products each year.
Global 100 Awards
British pet food maker Benyfit Natural was named the Leading Food Production Company of 2026 at the Global 100 Awards by Global Publishing Media Group (GPMG). The company specializes in raw dog food, treats and supplements.
“This recognition is a huge moment for our team and reflects years of dedication to producing truly natural, raw pet food with uncompromising standards,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.
The award honors the world’s top companies and leaders driving growth, innovation and influence across international business.
