Petcare Innovation Summit USA ‘Best in Show Spotlight’ finalists announced

The Spotlight provides the opportunity to hear from the most exciting companies in the petcare space currently looking for investment or partnership across pet health, nutrition, and products and services.

In December, these 20 start-ups will pitch their innovations followed by questions from the judging panel to get to the in-depth details of their offering. The winners will then be selected and announced live at the event.

The finalists are:

• Animal Biome: Provider of personalized health products and services rooted in the science of the microbiome.
• Breed Science: The DTC fresh food and supplements brand that uses medical records, vet advice and diagnostic testing to individualize nutrition.
• Bundle x Joy: Delivers superfood nutrition across food, treats and supplements directly to the doorstep of consumers.
• Calviri: A platform that produces off the shelf therapeutic and preventative vaccines to treat and prevent cancer.
• Chews Happiness®: A social business (accredited by the Pet Sustainability Coalition) that is in the process of commercializing DigestaBone® their all-natural, highly digestibly degradable, durable dog chew.
• Expercy: A provider of painless and surgery-free orthopedic treatment for minor fractures in petcare.
• Gentle Beast: A membership-based dog training, behavior, and wellness platform.
• Go Dogo: A brain puzzle to keep dogs mentally fit and happy.
• Hilltop Bio: A producer of inflammation reducing therapeutics, based on novel cell-signaling technology.
• HiPets: A SaaS-enabled pet care marketplace.
• Innovative Pet Labs At home health screening tests.
• Jiminy’s: Sustainable, insect-based dog food producer.
• Joyful Pets: Joyful Pets connect people who need to rehome their pets with pet parents who are looking to adopt pets through a peer-to-peer marketplace.
• MeowTalk: A cat translator app and platform, with 17M+ downloads, that can interpret an individual cat’s meows and translate that into a human readable language.
• MI:RNA: A veterinary diagnostics company with a new early disease detection technology.
• PetPair: A pet adoption marketplace that matches and transports animals from overcapacity shelters nationwide to fosters.
• Rescue Spot: A platform that simplifies and streamlines the pet adoption process for adopters and rescues
• Tharos: A feed additive that helps break down complex carbohydrates in the animal gut and improve the balance of gut bacteria.
• Vidium Animal Health: Cutting edge genomic diagnostics for veterinary medicine. They have commercialized a sequencing-based test to characterize all tumors in dogs. 
• WulfTech – Advanced K9 health systems, toys and monitors for working K9 teams from Federal Government to State and local police and rescues teams.

The Petcare Innovation Summit will be taking place in Boston on December 6-7 2022. The Summit focuses on showcasing and accelerating disruptive innovation and investment to improve holistic pet health.
