Petfolk plans to open 40 new locations after capital injection
The American veterinary startup has secured $36 million (€33M) in Series C funding.
The secured sum is expected to enable the North Carolina-headquartered company to expand its in-person and app-led virtual care services to new markets. Its existing “connected care” model combines modern veterinary facilities with round-the-clock app-based virtual care.
It will also help enhance the overall quality and convenience of veterinary services.
Currently operating 19 clinics across 7 American cities, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Petfolk plans to expand its network to 40 clinics by the end of 2025.
Upcoming clinic openings are set for Miami and Phoenix, though the company strives to reach 10 major markets in a year’s time.
Petfolk closed similar funding amounts in its previous Series A and Series B rounds.
