PetPair secures $1.2 million in pre-seed funding
The pet adoption marketplace wants to scale its business nationwide and increase its operational team.
With this latest funding round, the Texas-based company will grow its operational and core tech teams to “better support and scale” its nationwide foster network.
“In a few years, we see PetPair maintaining a community of fosters numbering in the tens and hundreds of thousands, providing homes for millions of pets each year,” said co-founder and CEO Daniel Miyares.
PetPair is a platform that helps to unify animal welfare organizations, volunteers, and pet-centric businesses. The company provides tools for fosters to update their animal listings and communicate with future pet parents.
The company also boasts a number of affiliate partners across pet insurance, health supplements, and more to help new adopters become the best parents possible from the start.
