Pets Nature ends distribution of Champion Petfoods

Baden-Württemberg-based pet food distributor Pets Nature has announced the end of its partnership with Champion Petfoods, effective 11 July 2025.

This move comes as the Canadian pet food manufacturer shifts its strategic focus, resulting in the termination of its distribution of the Orijen and Acana brands through Pets Nature.

Mars maintains brand autonomy

Mars Petcare announced the acquisition of Champion Petfoods in 2022, a transaction that was completed in February 2023.

Mars has made significant strides in expanding its pet food portfolio and added Champion’s premium brands, Orijen and Acana, to its extensive range.

Following the acquisition, the global pet care company has maintained Champion Petfoods’ operational independence, allowing it to continue producing its pet food under the Orijen and Acana brands.
