QRILL Pet expands in China as it collaborates with Fullpet

The Chinese pet food brand joined hands with the marine ingredients supplier to share best-in-class practices and promote healthy diets for pets.

Norwegian QRILL Pet continues to increase its presence in the Chinese market as it enters yet another cooperation with Fullpet Co.

The new strategic partnership focuses on the customization of raw materials and sharing best practices from both parties to jointly promote the development of nutritional pet food.

Fullpet, which claims to be one of the largest pet food producers in the Asian country, said it is “primed” for market success. The company also believes the new partnership with the Norwegian manufacturer will help progress in scientific research, technology, and consumer insight.

Second partnership

This agreement is the second the companies have signed. The first partnership in 2021 saw Fullpet utilizing QRILL in its tailor-made pet staple foods to improve nutritional value and functional performance and increase consumer support in China.

China is the world’s largest market for marine ingredients, and it is part of the growth strategy of QRILL Pet and its parent biotech innovator and Antarctic krill-harvesting company Aker BioMarine.

“By strengthening this strategic partnership and heavily focusing on research, sustainability, technology, and consumer insights, we can ensure success in the Chinese market, and together we will continue to upgrade pet health food in China,” stated Matts Johansen, CEO at Aker BioMarine.
