The Nutriment Company acquires 2 British dog food brands

The Nutriment Company, a Stockholm-based provider of natural premium pet nutrition products, kicked off 2025 with 2 acquisitions in the UK.

The company bought The Dog’s Butcher, which creates raw food marketed “for working dogs,” and Your Pet Nutrition, a supplement company. Both purchases were made for an undisclosed sum as the company added to its portfolio of health foods.

The Dog’s Butcher sells a variety of raw meat and bone products, from veal tongues to lamb brains. Its products are frozen and sourced locally from Devon, Cornwall and elsewhere in Southwest England. The company leverages its British identity in its marketing, with a Union Jack prominently featured in its logo.

Your Pet Nutrition offers several supplements for dogs and cats. Its flagship products, Canine Prime and Feline 40, each have a blend of 40 nutrients “in an easy-to-use format to support optimal health for both dogs and cats,” Nutriment’s press release on the acquisition states.

European growth

Nutriment now has 16 brands under its umbrella and is a growing force in the European market for premium treats, food and supplements.

“By bringing Your Pet Nutrition into The Nutriment Company, we’re adding a strong supplement brand that aligns with our mission of providing premium products,” says Julius Adrian, Chief of Corporate Development Officer at The Nutriment Company.

“This acquisition allows us to better meet the needs of pet owners across the UK,” he concludes.

Both UK additions have the potential to support the company’s bottom line, and Nutriment has hinted that it may increase market access for the new subsidiaries. Statements on each deal suggest that these products will increase penetration in the UK.
