The Nutriment Company expands again with another UK acquisition

The transaction has been announced after 2 recent purchases of other British firms.

Just months after it acquired 2 UK-based dog food brands, The Nutriment Company (TNC) has added another British brand to its fast-growing portfolio.

The Swedish pet nutrition business, which rebranded from Voff last year, has acquired Bulmer Pet Foods, a producer and supplier of dog food with a 30-year legacy. Mark Sharman will continue to lead the firm.

“Welcoming Bulmer Pet Foods to the TNC family marks another key step in our mission to delivering [sic] natural raw pet food to more consumers across the continent,” the firm posted on LinkedIn.

“With Bulmer Pet Foods, we’re bringing a team along with over two decades of expertise, having built a strong reputation for offering natural raw pet food at an affordable price without compromising on quality or nutrition.”

Further expansion

The post also hinted at further expansion, noting, “We’re proud of what we’ve built so far and even more excited about what lies ahead.”

The addition of Bulmer is part of TNC’s rapid growth, which was outlined in a recent GlobalPETS interview with CEO Anders Kristiansen.

In addition to the UK firms The Dog’s Butcher and Your Pet Nutrition, acquired in January, TNC officially entered the Spanish market by acquiring Puromenu in February. In March, it acquired German company BAF Petfood, the ‘first raw factory’ in Europe, from pet retailer Fressnapf.
