Walmart announces new premium, yet affordable, private-label pet food brand
By offering its new dog and cat food line Pure Balance PRO+ at a lower price than similar premium pet food brands, Walmart wants to make high-quality food more accessible.
In a blogpost on Walmart’s website, Melody Richard (VP of Pets – Walmart) made the announcement in light of National Pet Month.
“We’ve seen strong growth across durables, specifically with beds and crates as customers welcome new kittens and pups to the family. And we’ve seen a great response to our expanded offering of pet services which we expect to continue as more people return to the office.”
