Warehouse purchase expands BrightPet’s storage, packaging capacity

The company said it will renovate the building to serve storage, packaging and labeling needs for its in-house and co-manufactured brands.

The Sherburne facility, formerly home to print, pre-press and bindery company, The Kenyon Press, is expected to deliver value for BrightPet’s brands by November 2019.

“The purchase of the Kenyon Press building brings us great potential to maximize our postproduction process,” says Jim Cudahy, general manager at Southern Tier Pet Nutrition, BrightPet’s Sherburne-based manufacturing location. “The space is critical to achieve greater efficiencies within our operations.”

The company recently launched a new in-house brand, By Nature, which is a sustainably packaged, natural super-premium dog and cat food line sold exclusively through independent retailers in the US.
