now has a 86 percent share in zooplus ’total annual turnover, which amounts to 1,311 million euros. The private labels therefore make around 210 million euros, 29 percent more than in 2018.
Zooplus is Europe’s largest pure player in pet food and supplies. On the entire market, the company only has to tolerate the German Fressnapf. Last year, zooplus welcomed 3.1 million new customers, according to the report.
Zooplus expects to be able to continue to grow through a further shift in consumer spending from offline to online. According to Damen, the web share is now between 15 and 20 percent. “I expect it to go to a 50/50 ratio in a five to ten year period.”
