The UK-based pet food manufacturer will build a new plant totaling 120,000 square feet in North West England.
Pets Choice has obtained permission to build a new warehouse, industrial unit and shop in Blackburn, Lancashire.
“We have a number of top-selling pet products in the UK and need to expand our facilities in order to increase manufacturing capacity,” stated CEO Tony Raeburn.
For Head of Operations Peter Birch, this permission follows an “exciting period of growth for Pets Choice as we look to expand our facilities,” he explained to GlobalPETS.
The pet food and accessories manufacturer has expanded over the past two years, following significant growth of their own brands and increasing their increased private label production. In addition, it has acquired five new brands, bringing their portfolio to 15.
The expansion follows the recent acquisition of The Hatchwell Company, also based in Blackburn.
According to a company spokesperson, no further information on the timeline has been disclosed as this is yet to be defined.
