Kevin Fick, former CEO and current Board Member of PetWise Brands, and Josh Patterson, Vice President of Sales in North America for Vital Essentials, have been appointed to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) board of directors.
Fick served a previous 9-year term on the APPA board of directors and has a 25-year career in the pet industry. Before becoming CEO of PetWise Brands, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Central Garden & Pet.
He is also part of the PetWise Brands board and exercises a similar duty on the board of directors for JoyBound People & Pets, a California-based organization that connects shelter animals to their forever homes.
On the other hand, Patterson has served in leadership roles at Nulo Pet Food, PetSmart and PetPlate. He started his career as a part-time Retail Associate at Tractor Supply and took on several manufacturing-focused and leadership roles.
Strong businesses
“I am excited to use my passion and expertise to further APPA’s mission of promoting responsible pet care and advancing the pet products industry while helping ensure that our members’ businesses remain strong and provide rewarding careers to those interested in the pet industry,” he says
Other members of APPA’s board include Todd Regan (Central Garden and Pet), who serves as APPA’s Secretary/Treasurer; Chuck Latham (H&C Animal Health), who acts as the Immediate Past Chair; and Terry Anderton (Wagz); Steve Clark (Petmate); and Savina Singh (JoJo Modern Pets), who serve as Directors.
APPA’s board of directors collectively works to achieve its mission and serve the interests of its 1,000+ pet product manufacturers, their representatives, importers and livestock suppliers.
