The multinational recently acquired the telehealth platform Zoonivet.
Cargill has announced an expansion into the Indian pet care industry with the takeover of pet telehealth player Zoonivet as part of its commitment to bringing innovative technology interventions to consumers.
The service, launched in October 2022 with the help of Cargill Digital Studios, aims to simplify pet healthcare by connecting pet parents with veterinarians via video call.
Zoonivet has seen quick market reach with over 100,000 app downloads. It offers video consultations, home vaccination services, surgery and home diagnostic services for pets in its key market, Bangalore.
The company plans to expand some services to other Tier-1 cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Lucknow by the end of 2023.
“As we expand further, we will continue adding tech-led interventions to enhance the consumer experience on the app while ensuring fur babies get quality services at the click of a button,” said Zoonivet’s Founder, Ruchir Vatsal.
