Going global

Since 2013, the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) has established substantial credibility within the US pet industry by delivering education, implementation tools, and collaboration to address global environmental and social issues while driving greater business profitability. The Coalition’s tools and expertise ensure that companies integrate sustainability into their business in a way that will deliver bottom-line savings, increased employee productivity, supply-chain risk minimization, increased innovation, and higher sales.

And now it is time to extend this initiative worldwide. PSC’s expansion into Europe was announced at the GlobalPETS Forum 2017 last January. The first step in PSC’s European expansion is to establish a new Founders Committee led by Corine van Winden, CEO of GlobalPETS Community, and powered by PETS International. Through the partnership between the Pet Sustainability Coalition and GlobalPETS Community, the Founders Committee will develop a robust strategy for formalizing the expansion of PSC’s tools and resources for an official European enlargement of the organization scheduled for Interzoo 2018.

Toolkit

PSC was founded to accelerate environmental and social sustainability in the pet industry through education, tools, and resources. As it turns out, many companies want to make a positive impact, but they often don’t know how. Where do you start? What tools do you need? How much will you need to change? How much will it all cost and what’s our ROI? To help companies find the answers they need, PSC created the PSC Toolkit and the exclusive Accelerator Program.

Pulling together best practices from dozens of industries worldwide, the PSC Toolkit is a continually expanding resource that will allow you to learn about sustainability and implement sustainability initiatives in your business regardless of whether you are just starting out or a sustainability master.

The PSC Accelerator Program is a four-step process that will help you to:

2. create a strategic, practical roadmap;
3. take action; and
4. increase your brand value by sharing your success.

The Accelerator tool will help you leverage your business as a force for good.

Join the movement

Any organization active in the global pet industry can join PSC International. For its worldwide expansion, the Founders Committee seeks diverse representation from supply chain leaders including brands, manufacturers, retailers and distributors for both pet food and accessories. Serving on the Founders Committee is an opportunity to drive sustainability on a global level so that the pet industry can contribute to a prosperous future for people, pets and planet.
