The Californian pet company has been awarded in the pet accessories section of one of the most important design competitions in the world.
The manufacturer was recognized for its innovative dog food and water bowl station, which sweeps up kibble bits on the floor and prevents water spills.
The company claims that the bowl also supports better posture of the animal and encourages slower drinking.
Founder Brandon Kennington stated that winning this award helps the company feel that taking those design risks “can be worth it,” as it gives them validation as designers to “follow our gut instinct.”
Blake Nichols from BlueKube, the product development company behind Kibble Katcher, pointed out that the company is “changing the game in the pet market” and betting on new materials, such as aircraft aluminum and Baltic birch plywood, for its products.
“In a market where most dog bowls are plastic commodities, it was a fun challenge to incorporate a modern aesthetic and utility of solving a problem dog owners have of spilled food and water,” he noted.
