German pet retailer Fressnapf has opened its first 2 Maxi Zoo stores in the Netherlands after acquiring Dutch retailer Jumper.
The 800-meter square stores in Maastricht and Coevorden showcase the group’s new Future Store concept created in partnership with umdasch The Store Makers, a retail solutions provider.
“The Fressnapf Group is changing from a product-oriented supplier to a caring partner that fulfills all customer wishes throughout the entire life cycle of pets,” a company spokesperson tells GlobalPETS.
In addition to the new openings, Fressnapf is rebranding all existing Jumper stores in the country to Maxi Zoo. As of November 2023, the Dutch retailer had 47 stores, 3 franchise locations and 19 shop-in-shop concepts.
Fressnapf is reportedly the second largest pet retailer in the country after Pets Place.
