Petco sales up 18% in 2021
The retailer reached “momentum” in the last quarter of the year and forecasts a positive trend for 2022.
The company delivered $5.8 billion (€5.3B) in sales last year, while in 2020 sales reached $4.92 billion (€4.5B).
In the quarter ending on January 29th 2022, sales reached $1.51 billion (€1.38B), 13% more than the same period of the previous year.
“Our results for the quarter and full year demonstrate that our focus on long-term, sustainable growth, powered by continued delivery against our strategic growth opportunities, is working,” said today Chairman and CEO Ron Coughlin.
Petco expects for 2022 revenue growth of 6-8% amid a “strong” and “resilient” pet category.
A few days ago, the Californian company announced that it is planning to launch a new fresh and frozen food line for dogs in the second half of the year.
