The Belgian manufacturer bought the production facilities of the American corporation in Krzepice (Poland) and Karcag (Hungary).
The purchase of the sites, that are specialized in the production of dry pet food for cats and dogs, is in line with the strategy of United Petfood to âreinforce and growâ the business.
According to company, Cargill retains ownership of its pet food brands and will continue to provide a portfolio of its branded products.
With the new locations in Poland and Hungary, United Petfood Group operates now 21 pet food facilities across 9 European countries.
Back in October, the Ghent-based pet food producer acquired Gold Line Feeds’ brands and customer base in the UK. It also took over a factory in southwest France from Neodis Group earlier in the year.
