7-Eleven Taiwan to introduce pet products

The convenience store giant wants to get in on the booming pet industry and is creating dedicated ‘pet areas’ in 200 of its stores.
It will have four major sections: canned food, dry food, treats and other supplies (like litter). It will also feature a ‘pre-order’ area to integrate their online channel with their stores.
The company plans to expand to its 500 stores across the country.
Taiwannews reports that one in four households had a cat or dog in 201. And the pet market doubled in value to over $1.08 billion from 2008 to 2020.
