Alltech names new environmental VP

McCarthy will support Alltech’s program of sustainability. The program focuses on providing nutritious food while revitalizing local communities and preserving Earth’s natural resources.

“Tara will be working closely with our customers and partners on the environmental and social issues that we believe businesses within agriculture and food can positively impact,” said Dr. Mark Lyons, President, and CEO of Alltech.

The new Vice President of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) joined the company in June after serving as Chief Executive Officer in an Irish state agency Bord Bia since 2017. She also had experience as CEO for Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Ireland’s seafood development agency.

McCarthy believes agriculture can play an important role in a world that is constantly changing in “many ways and places, being reset.”
