Arcaplanet adds 10 new stores across northern and central Italy

The pet retailer acquired 3 pet store chains, bringing its total store count to 610.
Arcaplanet has acquired pet store chains Hobby Zoo, Green Pet and Miele while adding 10 new points of sale nationwide.
This includes the 5 Hobby Zoo stores across Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, the Green Pet store in Verona and 4 locations of Fidomania stores in Marche.
“This triple acquisition is a further and significant confirmation of our growth strategy, focused on targeted expansion and consolidation of our leadership,” says Guillaume Seneclauze, CEO of Arcaplanet.
According to Seneclauze, who took office a few months ago in place of Nicolò Galante, the new locations will allow the company to further extend its network in key areas.
The latest acquisition will bring the total store count to 610. In October, Arcaplanet opened its 600th store in a shopping center in Borgo Panigale, approximately 210 km from Milan.
Retail award
Arcaplanet recently received the Pet Retail Category Award at the Migliore Insegna 2026 (Best Retailer 2026) Awards, presented by Ipsos Doxa, the Italian arm of Ipsos, and the economic publication Largo Consumo.
“We are proud of this result and sincerely thank all our clients and our community for their trust, as well as all our colleagues who work hard every day in the stores to make Arcaplanet the favorite brand for pets and pet parents in Italy,” the company says.
Founded in 1995, Arcaplanet serves over 2.6 million customers across Italy. Since July 2024, the company has been controlled by the Fressnapf Group. In 2024, the company reported an annual turnover of €676 million ($780M).
