Best Friend Group and Vital Petfood Group petfood division merge into Nordic Pet Care

Mika Holappa has been appointed as CEO of Nordic Pet Care A/S. He will also continue as CEO of Best Friend Group and Vital Petfood Group A/S. As a part of the new organizational structure, Paul van der Raad will discontinue as CEO of Vital Petfood Group A/S and seek a new career outside VPG after 22 years in the company.

Paul will for a temporarily period lead the wild bird business until later autumn.  The recruitment of the new head of wild bird business has been started.

The integration will make the new Nordic Pet Care company one of the largest Nordic based pet care product sales, distribution and production companies. The new company will continue creating even more new and innovative products and growing the pet business together with our partners. We also look for internal efficiencies, improved processes and more resources to serve our customers even better.

Bird and rodent food business will be developed further through a single minded focus. VPG Wildbird is already today the largest wild bird fat balls manufacturer in Europe, producing over 1 mio. fat balls daily sold across all Europe.
