Dog food manufacturer inks partnership with Finnish Hunters’ Association

Rovio Pet Foods will supply dog food to the association, to which almost 145,000 hunters and their dogs belong.

The Loimaa-based pet food manufacturer has signed a 3-year supply agreement with the Finnish Hunters’ Association.

In a statement to GlobalPETS, Rovio stated that the cooperation is a strong strategic fit for both parties.

“The Hunters’ Association is an excellent partner for us. We can offer a safe, local, high-quality food range that guarantees optimal nutrition for dogs in every life stage, even for hard-working dogs during the hunting season,” said Tero Rovio, CEO of Rovio Pet Foods.

Jaakko Silpola, Executive Director of the Hunters’ Association, added that Rovio is the right local partner for the association as one of the association’s fundamental values is to “feed safety” which aligns with the manufacturer’s ethics.

The agreement is part of Rovio Pet Foods’ long-term strategic initiatives to expand its product range and market scale in Finland.

The company produces dog food under two brands, Werraton and Rehti, and recently expanded its dog food product range to meet the rising customer demand for domestically produced dog food
