VEGDOG wants to expand its product portfolio and enter into new European markets.
One of the main objectives of the Munich-based company is to place innovative and sustainable plant-based pet food products in the market.
The startup told GlobalPETS it wants to develop its own laboratory for optimizing intern product know-how.
The company, which posted €2.4 million in revenue in 2021, expects to double the numbers this year.
Co-founders Tessa Zaune-Figlar and Valerie Henssen will continue to hold a majority stake in the company.
VEGDOG’s range of vegan and gluten-free pet food is available through retailer chains in Germany, including drugstore DM, supermarkets REWE and EDEKA, and pet retailers Das Kutterhaus and Fressnapf.
