Google includes pet care in its local ad tools

Local Service Ads will allow local pet businesses to advertise and receive leads from potential customers.

The American technology firm recently included pet care along with education, people care, wellness, and health care in its Local Service Ads offering.

Unlike Google Ads, which makes owners pay per click, this tool promotes a product or service to a target audience, and the business only pays when customers make contact via the ad.

For example, a pet store ad will appear on Google after searching for a specific service or product the shop offers within the area it covers.

Amplified offering

Google says the business will receive phone calls, messages, and appointment bookings in its chosen locality. Customers can view information and photos and read reviews of the company via the ad.

Businesses can also track performance, oversee leads, and listen to call recordings with prospective customers.

Stores and service providers can also set up a budget based on the number of new leads they’re looking for each week and schedule appointments through Google Calendar.

Along with the 5 new categories, Google’s Local Service Ads currently support over 70 services, from home care to finance, law, and real estate, with plans to add even more.
