How to export pet food to China – the ultimate guide
According to public data statistics, during the period of 2015.1-2020.4, the Ministry of Agriculture approved 930 pet food SKUs, including 604 dog food and 326 cat food. The overall number of imported pet food registrations has shown a clear upward trend.
China International Pet Show interviewed Mr. Shuanghua Li, the director of the Legal Service Center of Pet Industry Committee of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA), and invited him to share how to obtain the qualification of imported pet food.
According to Mr. Shuanghua Li, pet food access is divided into national access (countries that can enter China) and enterprise access (the official quarantine authority of the exporting country recommends the enterprise to the importing country ’s customs). National access and enterprise access can be combined together.
