Interzoo 2026 set for largest edition yet in Nuremberg

With 15 halls and 150,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event reinforces its position as the global hub of the pet industry.
The global pet industry is preparing to converge once again as Interzoo 2026 approaches. Scheduled to take place from 12 to 15 May in the German city of Nuremberg, the pet trade fair is expected to host over 2,350 exhibitors.
Building on the success of Interzoo 2024 , which featured a record-breaking roster of over 2,000 exhibitors, the exhibition area has expanded by approximately 10,000 square meters, marking a 7% increase.
“With around 150,000 square meters of gross exhibition space – the highest figure ever recorded – Interzoo is featuring a unique variety of product and brand presentations, offering something for everyone and bringing the entire world of pets to life through all the senses,” says Gordon Bonnet, CEO of WZF-Pet Industry Services and the ZZF – German Pet Trade & Industry Association, organizers of the event.
The event now spans 15 exhibition halls, one more than in the 2024 edition.
GlobalPETS will be exhibiting in Hall 2, Booth 125.
International audience
Nearly 90% of the exhibiting companies are arriving from outside of Germany. Following the host nation, the highest number of exhibitors come from China, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, the USA, Poland and the UK.
The fair is also welcoming new exhibiting countries that were not present in 2024, including Egypt, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
Interzoo will feature 16 dedicated national pavilions. For the first time, Turkey, Thailand and Spain will be represented with their own pavilions. This international appeal is reflected in attendee demographics, with 74% of current ticket bookings from outside Germany.
All segments represented
Interzoo 2026 will host companies operating across multiple segments and categories.
According to the organization, exhibitors include 1,703 companies showcasing products for dogs and 1,378 presenting items for cats.
The small-animal and rodent sector will feature 288 exhibitors, while 233 companies will showcase the latest aquatics products. Additionally, 235 exhibitors will focus on solutions for pet food technology.
Supporting program
Beyond the exhibition part, Interzoo will also offer a schedule of events.
On 11 May, the day before the fair opens, the Interzoo Sustainability Conference will take place, featuring a keynote address by Elliott Harris, former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
New additions to the 2026 lineup include the first Women in Petfood Leadership Event in Europe, scheduled for 13 May, and the inaugural Interzoo Groomers’ Day on 14 May.
