Pet Supplies Plus to expand in Northeastern US
The Michigan-based pet retailer acquired 20 outlets from Independent Pet Partners.
Pet Supplies Plus continues its expansion run with the acquisition of 20 shops in Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, North Hampshire, and Virginia. The stores will be rebranded under the Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash banners.
The company’s twin-branded franchisee group, comprised of Caitlin Greene, Ryan Greene, and Ray Vigneault, owns 12 locations.
Through this acquisition, the group said it would expand its portfolio by 8 Pet Supplies Plus stores and 4 Wag N’ Wash stores. The retailer will convert the other 8 locations currently operating as corporate shops to franchisee-owned stores in the next few months.
“This is an incredible way to start the year, as this acquisition allows Pet Supplies Plus and Wag ‘N Wash to considerably grow their presence throughout the Northeast in a brief period,” celebrated Chris Rowland, CEO of Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash.
Pet Supplies Plus currently has over 660 stores in 41 states across the US. In December 2022, it purchased 29 Wag ‘N Wash stores in Nashville and Dallas and opened 20 new stores in Tennessee and Texas earlier in the year.
