Pet Supplies Plus to open a $53 million distribution center in South Carolina
The US pet retailer wants to increase its distribution capabilities across the Southwest.
The new state-of-the-art distribution center is expected to begin operation in early 2023.
“The distribution center will create highly desirable logistics jobs, as well as allow for efficient distribution of a wide assortment of pet products to Pet Supplies Plus stores in the region,” claimed Pet Supplies Plus CEO Chris Rowland.
The new operation will be the company’s fourth distribution center in the US.
Pet Supplies Plus has more than 630 stores, most of them operated by franchisees.
US Retail Holdings, which currently operates 49 franchises of the brand across the US, recently announced plans to increase the number of stores over the next 5 years in Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and Texas.
