Petco, Zoetis, and Tractor Supply selected among the most responsible US companies
American weekly magazine Newsweek chose 500 companies across 14 industries that are socially and environmentally engaged.
Tractor Supply Company ranked 213th on this year’s America’s Most Responsible Companies in 2022 and eighth in the retail sector. The retailer previously ranked 244th.
“We are proud of the investments we have made in our team and communities. We strongly believe that this commitment has enabled us to deliver long-term sustainable value to our shareholders. It is an honor to receive this recognition,” said President and CEO Hal Lawton.
Californian online pet retailer Petco ranked 301st and 10th in the retail sector.
In healthcare, Zoetis achieved a global position of 59th and 7th in its industry.
To create the Most Responsible Companies list, Newsweek assessed publicly available key performance indicators (KPIs) on environmental, social, and corporate governance. Additionally, an independent survey was conducted to evaluate each company’s reputation.
Earlier in the year, the publication named Hollywood Feed as the best American pet care retailer of 2022. Chuck and Don’s Pet Food & Supplies, Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus, and Petland were also in the ranking.
