Purina sales grow by 10% in 2021
The Nestlé petcare company reached last year CHF 15.56 billion ($16.89B / €15.04B) in sales.
In the presentation of its full-year results for 2021, the company said that the increase was driven by premium brands Purina Pro Plan, Fancy Feast and Purina ONE, and veterinary products.
Nestlé e-commerce sales grew by 15.1% last year with “strong momentum in most categories, particularly Purina PetCare.”
The company said to investors that pet products had a strong success in the American region, especially in Mexico and Brazil, but did not disclose specific numbers.
The pet segment also contributed positively in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMENA) region, with “strong sales developments” led by the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy and France.
Purina PetCare also reported “strong” double-digit growth in China.
The global sales of Nestlé’s pet segment accounted CHF 14 billion ($15.20B / €13.5B) in 2020.
