Tom&Co continues to expand in France

The floor space at the new Tom&Co store, which is located in the borough of Bourges, extends over 550 m². This area is ideal for providing users with the whole of the Tom&Co concept, complete with its many services and unique customer experience.  

As is the case in all Tom&Co stores, many events are staged regularly in the meeting space set aside specifically to accommodate visiting specialist providers (dog trainer, Trail Ball, Canicross, canine osteopath, etc.). Every Tom&Co store has a space of this kind, where valuable exchanges can take place with the owners of animals, specialists and associations, etc. As an example of this, Tom&Co has signed a partnership with Antony Lemoine, dual world Canicross champion. Tom&Co regularly organises events in-store, based on this new sporting discipline. “Canicross is popular with our customers, whether or not they are good at running. In fact, we have seen many owners start in the sport thanks to their dog. People who try out Canicross often take it up as a pastime, as it makes both owners and animal happy,” explains Guillaume Papillon, general manager of Tom&Co France. 

 Tom&Co Bourges is the first store opened by franchisee, Marine Cassignol. This is a new venture for Marine, who is a qualified veterinary assistant. She began her career in retail, where she learnt about managing a large commercial store. Today, Marine has come back to her passion: animals. But she will not be alone in this new challenge, as her husband will be working alongside her.

“To make this store opening something of a festive occasion, an animal photographer has taken pictures of animals and their owners. Last Wednesday, which was the first day the store opened, we also played host to Handi’chiens to learn more about this fine association, which has now been a partner of Tom&Co for a year,” explains Marine Cassignol, store manager of Tom&Co Bourges. 

As is the case in all Tom&Co outlets, a wide range of products for our animal friends will be available, including food and accessories for dogs, cats, rodents, birds, fish and more unusual pets.

The opening of Tom&Co Bourges will be followed by two new stores in Dijon and La Roche sur Yon in September. Several more stores will be added to the Tom&Co network between now and the end of the year, aimed at reaching the 40 mark in France.
