The pet chain’s new veterinary clinic resource offers a wide range of dog, cat, small animal and bird health services and specialized advice for puppies, kittens and senior pets.
“Customers receive guidance on feeding, health monitoring and preventive care to maintain their pets’ well-being,” a company spokesperson tells GlobalPETS, adding, “Following consultations, clients receive a detailed report via email, ensuring they leave the session informed and reassured.”
This launch aims to meet the increasing demand from pet owners seeking flexible, accessible care outside of emergencies.
Maxi Zoo Vet operates 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to midnight. It charges €21.90 ($24.30) for a 15-minute consultation, with a €5 ($5.50) discount for its loyalty program members.
Expanding expertise
The company states that its launch in France builds on the success of Maxi Zoo’s nutritional and behavioral video consultations platform, which has already proven successful in Germany.
The retailer is promoting the new service at its physical stores, and staff will be trained to assist customers with digital consultations.
“Maxi Zoo is determined to become the best partner for animals and their owners,” comments Jan Wejbrandt, CEO of Maxi Zoo France. “The launch of Maxi Zoo Vet is one of the illustrations of this ambition.”
German pet retailer Fressnapf, owner of Maxi Zoo, plans to expand this teleconsultation service to other countries, though this timeline is yet to be confirmed.
