At its 38th edition in Nuremberg, Germany, Interzoo hosted 2,146 exhibitors from 68 countries and welcomed 37,000 visitors.
According to the Interzoo 2024 Show Report, 99% of surveyed visitors were satisfied or very satisfied with the range of services and products at the show. A whopping 96% reported high satisfaction with the trends and innovations presented.
As many as 97% of exhibitors established new business relationships during the event, while 93% expected follow-up business. Those intending to exhibit again in 2026 and subsequent editions hit 95%.
New products and business contacts
Just over half of the visitors surveyed attended the event to learn about new products, a 6% increase from the previous event. 41% aimed to forge new business contacts, while 29% visited to gain a general sense of the market.
Visitors were most interested in dog and cat products (68%), pet food technologies (28%) and aquatics (22%).
According to the data, as many as 97% admitted to having gained something from their visit to Interzoo.
A global platform
Over four-fifths of exhibitors (85%) and nearly three-quarters of visitors (74%) were from abroad. Germany, China, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey were the top 5 exhibiting countries by stand space.
The trade fair set a new exhibitor record with participants from 68 countries, including island states like Wallis and Futuna, the Pitcairn Islands and the Caribbean island of Curaçao.
The event report reveals that the Interzoo app was used over 10,000 times to scan QR codes on exhibition stands. Moreover, before and during the fair, exhibitor profiles were accessed 262,000 times via the app.
The next edition of Interzoo will take place in Nuremberg from 12 to 15 May 2026.
