Better Choice Company shares the sales of its pet food business.
Better Choice Company announced that their new product line, Halo Elevate, has experienced a significant increase in point-of-sales growth at US pet retailer Petco, reaching a growth rate of 15.6% in the last 12 weeks.
The company highlighted that Halo Elevate, a super-premium pet food line for dogs and cats, has surpassed Petco’s retail growth of 5% year-over-year in Q4 2022.
Additionally, Halo Elevate achieved a 9.3% growth in the total pet specialty channel year-to-date compared to the last 12 weeks of 2022.
“This success is a testament to the high nutritional value of our products, the trust our pet owners have in our brand, and the strong partnerships we have formed in the pet specialty channel,” said Donald Young, Chief Sales Officer of Halo Pet Food.
Earnings
Better Choice posted net sales of $9.3 million (€8.52M) in the fourth quarter of 2022, 15% less than in the same period of 2021.
Sales in 2022 accounted for $54.6 million (€50M), up from $46 million (€42.1M) in 2021.
The company recently released its results and said that bricks and mortar net sales grew 72% in 2022, fueled by the Halo Elevate launch. In 2022, sales in this channel reached $11.6 million (€10.6M).
