Pet brands from across the globe were recognized for their innovations across nutrition, service and accessories from a pool of 2,000 nominees.
The Pet Innovation Awards 2023 recently recognized over 48 winners for their innovative services and products across categories like apparel, food and treats, collars and accessories, health, litter, training, grooming and more.
“The winners of the 2023 program are truly at the forefront of innovation as they work to revolutionize and strengthen an industry that revolves around beloved members of our family: our pets,” says Travis Grant, Managing Director of the Independent Innovation Awards (IIA).“It’s the drive for top quality and the creativity of innovation that we look for in our award winners. This year’s class represents a whole new level of ingenuity, and we couldn’t be more pleased to recognize them for their hard work,” Grant adds.
The winners
The 2023 award winners in the Food & Treat category included Solid Gold (Cat Food Wet Product of the Year), Portland Pet Food Company (Dog Biscuit of the Year), Tucker’s (Dog Food Frozen/Raw Product of the Year), Badlands Ranch (Dog Food Functional Diet Product of the Year), Phelps Pet Products (Upcycled Dog Treat of the Year), HappyTails Canine Wellness (Jerky-style Dog Treat of the Year), and Snif-Snax (Natural Dog Treat Product of the Year).
After winning the Dog Food Frozen/Raw Product of the Year Award, Jeff Kalish, Founder and CEO of Tucker’s, said, “Our food is thoughtfully formulated and packaged taking the needs of both retailers and pet parents as our number one priority. We set out to create the most biologically appropriate food promoting our dogs’ innate eating instincts.”
Go! Solutions by Petcurean was recognized as Pet Food Solution of the Year as it tailors nutritional solutions for pets’ individual needs.
Noting that there is an increased interest in wet food meal enhancers that are convenient and packaged in mess-free solutions, Travis Grant (IIA) commented, “With Go! Solutions Boosters from Petcurean, there’s finally a healthy and delicious product that meets these demands.”
The health category awards recognized brands like Zesty Paws (Cat Digestive Product of the Year), Bexacat™ (Overall Cat Health Product of the Year) and Bailey’s CBD (Overall Dog Health Product of the Year).
MetLife Pet Insurance was awarded Pet Insurance of the Year, while AI FOR PET won Pet Care Solution for the Year.
