The Nutriment Company (TNC) has acquired PETMAN, a raw pet food company based in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia.
The deal strengthens the Swedish pet food manufacturer’s position as the leading raw food player in the German-speaking region by combining its “state-of-the-art production capabilities” with PETMAN’s “outstanding eye for new product and customer innovations.”
“PETMAN is a great business that, compared to many other companies in the market, has always had a rigorous focus on customer satisfaction rather than having a purely product-centric mindset,” says TNC’s CEO Anders Kristiansen.
He adds that the business is a good fit for TNC’s vertically integrated operations and manufacturing capabilities.
Becoming a European leader
Earlier this year, TNC scooped up 2 raw pet food players in the UK: Surrey-based Natural Instinct and Scottish Totally Natural Pet Products, aiding its position as Europe’s leading player in the minimally processed pet food space.
This latest acquisition helps the company inch closer to its goal, too. The German company completes TNC’s pet food offerings across all sales channels by expanding its portfolio offerings to raw food, natural treats and supplements
PETMAN, founded in the 1990s, is known for its innovative approach to natural pet food that uses 100% natural ingredients.
